I am trying to decide what to get a am either going to get a OEM style CF hood or a monster style fiberglass vented so what do you think i should get i was kinda leaning towards the monster style one but does anyone have experiecnce with the fitment of the monster hoods from autobahn motorsports and does anyone know what company of cf hoods impot trenz carrys
I personally like the OEM style CF hood. But get what you want. I think the fiberglass isn't as rigid as CF. I know that fiberglass bumpers suck (from experience) so I would stay away from fiberglass myself. But like I said, you should get what you want
Not if you buy a CF hood from spoon or mugen...you get authenticy, you dont get the rippoffs.....is ur car white eg? let me show you what it can turn into..
Mugen_Power, you are absolutely correct, HOWEVER, 98% of the time, somebody will NOT buy an "authentic" CF hood.

IMO unpainted carbon fiber looks like ***.

I know my friend payed about $350 (eBay) for his and it just a carbon fiber overlay on a fiberglass frame (but he did not know this like many others who bought these style cf hoods). The thing is still is VERY light, and seems to be just a strong. I am planning on getting one over the summer, just for looks though, I dont go fast engough where I need if for the waight reduction.

It's the usual HT double standard...
use it for whatever the hell you want to. I personally would only buy a CF hood if I were to buy one, and it would be for looks since the weight is not that much of a factor.
peaces.
peaces.
$320 is BS, dont even try finding out more..sprayed on for sure....well you can tell the diff...drive to the place where they got it..compare your stock with their cF...cf should be half as light as the stock
