Default Hondata or ZDyne

Hello

I am planning a swap into my EG. I am planning a GS-R with JRSC and I wanted to know what ECU will best suit my needs, the ZDyne or Hondata. Let me know if I am not comparing apples to apples, as I really dont know much about the ECU setups. I want something that isnt going to cost an arm and a leg to tune. I live in the Ark-La-Tex so I will probably take it to JoTech in Dallas or somewhere nearby to have it tuned.

Any help (or experiences) would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jon Black

Well if you are running a EG (OBD1 and higher) you might as well go with Hondata or AEM EMS.. Zdyne is for 4g OBD0 setups.

I have the Zdyne, it works pretty well.

Hey Jeff

Whatdupp? Thanks for the reply. So I guess the ZDyne is out of the question for me then. Im wanting it for the EG as I am selling the CRX and the 4th Gen Hatch.

Hows HMT going?

Hondata s200 is best cause you can reprogram it to your specs "great 4 JRSC"

Hey thanks. I checked out the website and the prices look good enough I guess. I would like a "clutch-in" rev limiter thingy or whatever you call it. Looks like that is what I need.

Thanks again

Answer is simple enough...

OBD 0 : Zdyne

OBD 1 : Hondata

AEM EMS is another option.. we are using it in my friends B16a crx. Its a bit more complex than hondata, but its very trick.

HMT? good as always.

Hondata setup...but make sure it's tuned by an experienced tuner on a dyno...
