i bought a tach for my 89 dx hatch. im up to the part where i need to connect it to the coil wire. i know its blue and its right next to the distributor, but somebody said that the same wire appears near the driver side fender. i see a big plug with lots of wires connected near the fender, pretty close to the windshield. i didnt see the light blue wire, but then again i was looking at night. but is this where i would find the wire?

you can just hook it up at the dash cluster much easier(thats what I did) just try to find a diagram on the cluster and there should be a tach wire

 

bump...and oh yea the dx dont come with the tach stock....

 

its still set up for one so it got the tach wire in there....somewhere

 

anyone got a site for the diagram of the dash? and i already did the other 3 wires, im up to the coil wire. so does anyone know where the blue coil one is next to the fender?

 

the blue wire on the dzzy is not atually the coil wire. its from the ignitor. you can hok up to that or the actual - terminal on the coil. you can also hook up at the ecu

 

what wire at the ecu? cuz that would be much better than taking it from the engine bay.... and where is the ecu? is it in the passenger foot rest?
