Removing/installing vacuum lines from turbo to wastegate...huh
So, I'm preparing to install my Joe P mbc, and I'm wondering if there's a trick to removing the existing line from the compressor to the w/g. Initial tugs show it's on there tight, which is certainly a Good Thing.
Do I just PULL it off? Or slice the piping down the side of the nipples of the wastegate and compressor?
Once it's off, is there a trick to getting the mbc lines onto the compressor and wastegate? Is there a tool that I use, or do I just PUSH it onto the nipples?
Sorry if they're elementary questions
, but you learn by asking... (and I did do a search first).

the fittings that you are removing the lines from may be barbed, basically the hose encounters smooth edges on the way on, and when it gets pulled the other way there are sharp edges that grab onto the hose to keep it in place.
If you have enough hose, I would just slice it enough to get it off, and then replace it with new hoses and the boost controller

I usually just pull/twist to remove, and push to install.
BTW, it's good to see another turbo sol vtec.
boostedsol: Yes, we're a special breed... not too many of us around which is great. del Sol VTECs are rare, nevermind del Sol VTEC-T's...
racerxadam: You're certainly on to something with the barbs. I believe I'll be trying the whole slicing thing.
Thanks guys.
