Default bad news !..my exhaust got toasted

ok heres the deal...i was drivin home from boston ..so i drive over the bridge..and theres a metal lip with bolts stickin out of it...so i driv over it and one of the bolts catches my Apex N1 cat-back exhaust and i hear a big bang...i pull over and my exhaust is 1/4 inch from the ground, the tip is like 6 inches past my bumper and it took my bumper with it so my rear bumper is like falling off.....
went to the bodyshop today and theres like $1500 in damage, and its all pretty much underbody so the insurance wont cover it...my exhaust is toast tho, its flat as a pancake in 3 spots and theres a big hole in the muffler...

so im pretty much trying to get the city of Boston to pay for it...hopfully it will go smoothly
right now im shopping for a new exhaust...im thinkin about the mugen twin-loop

make sure to go take a picture of the obstruction on the road that damaged your vechile.. you need evidence of what happened.. and honestly if your car is slammed please be smart and raise it before the city insurance people can view it..same thing happened to my brother.. but it took close to a Year but only due to 2 other motorists hitting the same obstruction on the same night..plus he had pictures.. good luck

yea im goin to take pictures, i already got an estimate which is for about $1500...but the city faxed me a form to fill out, and one of the things it says is be patient because these things take a long time to fully work out...right now im contemplating weather or not to sell my EK and get a CRX or sumthing

Haha! Sucks, but it's true, there's going to be a lot of red tape to cut through. Hope it works out for you though, keep us posted.

Not to be an *** but............... Why should the state pay for you haveing a lowered car with an exhaust that hangs 1-2in off the ground? Then you tring to get money for other stuff on top of that.
