How do you know when its throwing a code (b16A2)
I have a 99 si with P2T ecu.
The ecu does not have a light, so how would i know if the car is throwing a code or not?
Also how are you suppose to mount the ecu on the 99-00 civic si
I know these are stupid questions. thats why i'm here.
thanks

CEL light comes on ... to check it there is a small harnes under the dash on the pass side. Just put a jumper wire in and turn the key "ON" the CEL light will blink the code ... hope this helps

I have a CEL.
So, now i need to know which code is it throwing.
What kind of jumper wire would i need, and what does that harness look like which i need to put the wire in.

Ok on the last picture there do you see the GREEN plug in the top right, thats what you need, take that cover off, and theres a clip inside that i think it has a brown and black wire into the clip, (if you look really close you can see it in the pic) you want to bend a paper clip in the shape of a U and stick one end in each side of where each wire is going, so its touching metal and shorting it out.

Yeah. the two wire one. (My 1993 has two connectors in the little green cap. I dunno what the three pin connector does, but the two wire one shows codes... If anyone can tell me what the 3 wire one does, I'd like to hear.)
Anywho. You stick your paperclip or jumper wire in there so that it bridges the two wires of the two wire connector. Then watch the Check Engine light. It'll blink... Long blinks are the first digit. Short blinks are the second digit. All codes are two digit. They repeat at the end.
For example. LONG LONG short <wait a few seconds> LONG LONG LONG short short short short <wait a few seconds> <Start from the begenning again>
Means codes 21 and 34 are present... I just used those as an example, my code book is in my car, so I can't tell you what they are...
Post up what codes you're getting later and I can run out and get it to tell you what's goin on.
Also, After you fix whatever's wrong, the code will stay there... You've gotta disconnect the battery to clear it. You've also gotta lose your radio settings.
