doing turbo install and my boost gauge reads 20psi vaccum at idle...HELP!
i hooked up the delta wastegate to the brake booster, the side that says boost. the boost gauge and fmu is hooked up the to top of the fpr. my bov is hooked up the another vaccum source(i think its the pvc vavle?)im not sure. when i start the car, the gauge reads 20 psi vaccum. shouldnt it be at 0? please help me out guys...thanks
if it read at 0 at idle, there wouldnt be a point to have a reading for the vacuum.
but its normal , mine sits at 20 at idle too

so im guessing i hooked it up right then? thanks for your help.
how should my car feel when im boosting?
how should my car feel when im boosting?
Are you saying 20PSI at idle or 20inhg? One is a measure of vacuume and one is a measure of boost. if its really saying 20 pounds of boost at idle then the gauge is hooked up wrong or defective. Most electronic boost gauges need to be wired to a source of power that doesn't flash off when the car is cranked over. If its not hooked up correctly, the auto zero feature of the electronic boost gauge won't work and you'll get crazy readings like 20psi at idle. I had a similar problem with an autometer cobalt electronic boost gauge. It read 7psi at idle till I re-wired it.
the gauge is mech. i hooked it up to a vac line. i guess im not saying 20 psi of boost but -20 vaccum? 20 below zero which is vaccum

everything fine man. u did good
when you really get on it you'll feel it boost.
try to look at ur boost/vac gauge every once in awhile. your foot will get alot more sensitive over time for daily driving. when i hit boost i get that empty/excited feeling in my stomach...like when im on a roller coaster
