Im looking at getting a 4 channel amp for my components. Namely the RF Punch 500X. Its something like 62.5 rms watts x 4 at 4 ohms. Does anyone have this amp and can comment on the sound quality?

Also, with this amp could I use 2 channels for front left and right, and then bridge the other 2 channels for a sub?

personally i dont like the new rf punch amps. try finding one of the older models which are alot better

 

What do you not like about them and what is better about the older models?

 

And also, what is the difference between the Punch and the Power series? Im also looking at the RF Power 550X.

 

I have the 500x. I think it sounds pretty good, but the only reason got fosgate is because I work at best buy and get the playa discount. For the money there is better stuff out there.

I have the USX4085 which I picked up for about 175.00
its 85 watts x 4 or 240 x 2 bridged

Yeah I have one and love it. It runs my whole system. Plenty of pounding for a little hatch.

What about the Audiobahn A4601Q... 75watt rms x 4. Not to mention it looks tight.

 

Soundstream amps were great...when they worked that is....

I would avoid SS at all costs...their company has been on a steady slide down hill - as a result quality has gone out the door...this is especially true with regards to their ability to service any of their products.

I'd second the USAcoustics..for the money it's great.

BTW, a 4 channel amp to run a whole system is an excellent choice.

 

just ordered the us acoustics 65 watt rms x 4 @ 4 ohms amp. Very sweet price at $129 shipped! At that price i wouldn't mind if it ends up sucking considering i was willing to pay twice this for the same specs. I dont care about looks either cause this is going in the lock box in my crx (stealth ).
