Default which kicker subwoofer is better?

OK. So I just want a single sub. I was looking to either get the kicker CVR122 or the kicker CWR122 (compR) from best buy. I'm new to subs and amps so I am not sure which sub. Would be better than the other? Can anybody tell me the difference between the two? Which one is louder or has a better sound. I am also wondering about what kind of amp i should get. Both of the subs I named are 2ohm. But the cwrs are 800watt/ 1600w max. And cvrs are 400w/800w max. Thanks

P.s. I don't care much about price. I get 180 dollar speakers for 50. So that tells you something about my budget.

I am a kicker fan and I prefer the L7 but its been a while since I put a full sound system together. My advice to you is the more power the subs require the more you will have to spend on the amp or amps to power them.

cwr are better because they have more power, and for amp rockford fosgate t500 will handle the job
p.s.- rockford fosgate underates their amps by a lot, so you will get around 720 rms from it

More rms doesn't mean a sub will be louder.

It's all enclosure/install dependant.

Are You only buying from bestbuy?

If they carry jbl, alpine, or infinity..those would be better to look at.

kicker CWR122 is better of the 2. but I wouldn't be buying kicker from them if you have the hookup you do...

The best kicker is the one you DONT buy. You get what you pay for, there for if you are looking for quality JL Audio is the only way to go. The whole JL W series are extremely reliable and great sound quality. The W1 or W3 series subwoofers are pretty inexpensive and will sound a whole lot better than any kicker they make.

This isn't true at all.

And neither is JL the end to all be.
