Default harmonic balancer fell off

i just did an engine swap in my 91 lx (stock f22a1 hydrolocked) with a f22a6 and it really wasnt that difficult, just time consuming. I picked the a6 up from a junkyard, swapped some brackets (i.e. A/C), switched the harnesses, and everything seemed okay. BUT - i went to start it, took a couple of turns, started, and made horrible vibrations. comes to find out, harmonic balancer came loose, and the internal gear for the timing belt beneath the black casing slid to where on the crank snout there is only 1/8" protruding. What can i do? I grabbed a 35mm socket, tryed to slide it back in the engine , but nothing. Whats wrong with this engine?

when it was on the hoist, if i cranked the engine clockwise it would making a nocking noise, but Counterclockwise it wouldn't. any clue?

i hope this isnt a BIG paper weight now.. anyone w/ a cheap f22 long block?
