Default Type-R engine problem!

Hi. i bought my car basically how it is...99 civic SI i dont know much but, ill try to explain as best as i can. It had a b18c5 engine swap. among a handful of other things. i noticed about a month back the timing belt had a hole in it. the engine only had about 2,500 miles on it so i was quite amazed. anyway...exactly one week ago i had the belt replaced at a mazda shop....its been running fine except ever since the install its been having trouble idling when i first start it....it keeps dipping below 1 thousand rpm's then goes back to 1 thousand...keeps going back and forth. usually ending up stalling. And its actually stalled on me 2 times while i was driving. anyway, today i was shifting from 3rd to 2nd when i hear a really odd low pitch humming noise coming from the exhaust..as im about to roll to a stop i feel something almost fallout of the engine.. i could feel it in the clutch...but i looked on the road and found nothing. i have no clue as to what it is...but now my cars engine wont turn over. and the timing belt on the front side moves about 1 inch in either direction. plz give me some insight

Post some proof that the engine swap is legit.

you can suck his ***** cartman..no one cares if its legal or not i would take my car back to the place that did the timing belt, obviously your belt skipped a tooth or came off the tensioner let the last people that looked at deal with it for right now

To be perfectly honest, it sounds like it was installed a tooth off on the intake side and the tensioner wasn't torqued properly.

Of course this could be a result of a larger problem. Make sure your cam gears are straight and that you can spin the engine freely with everything bolted up properly. Something like a seized water pump could cause all of those problems and could easily be misinterpreted as shoddy workmanship.

to me it sounds like your tensioner wasn't tightened properly or something...does it make a rattling noise?

mazda shop or not..they are retarded if they cant put a timing belt on a honda.

there was no rattling noise..up until my engine siezed...and the only rattling type sound i heard was the sound of something falling apart.

Turns out one of the cam gears got nicked on almost every tooth. along with that, the belt stretched SOMEHOW probably the belt i ordered was ****...figures. thereby causing the belt to skip a few teeth.basically ended u knocking a valve into the head of the engine...GG time to get a new head
