Default Lots of work done today on my car...

Well after sitting in court all morning from freakin 10 AM till 12:30 I finally made it home and at about 1:30 after talking to my man Jeff to make arraingments fro him to come down here to pick up his manual trani parts I got started on my fried 91 Si.

When I bought it the car I didnt realize and like an idiot I didnt think to check the oil regularly and it burned out and the oil light didnt let me know anything so it got fried.

Well today I went out and shovled out all the snow so I could work on the thing and got the intake manifold off, removed the radiator, dropped the exhaust manifold and and removed the head. The wiring harness, starter, alternator and distributor are also off (AND FOR SALE MIGHT I ADD). I checked the pistons to see what condition they were in and it seems the number 1 piston was having a field day. I found indentations all over the place where the valves were supposed to fit into when they opperate and the head was smashed at the edges. Apparently that thing was going all over the place.

The only thing left to do is get a dolly up under the motor and remove an axle. Then unbolt the motor mounts rais the car and pull that bastard out. Then I must order the ZC and raise the car again and put it in. Im really excited and anxious to get this done.

A friend of mine has some 15X7s with a 10 offset on them waiting for me in NC. Witht hose I plan to up the size from teh stock 185 to 205. With decent rubber those tires alone will help me improve my skills quite a bit. I had gotten really decent with stock size rubber and a ZC. This summer HPDE and AutoXs will be pretty fun learning to max out the traction of those tires.

sounds like you have your work cut out for you...

swaps arent always fun, and sometimes headachey, but it sounds like you're determined...

good luck man, and may your swaps be easy, and your times lower.
