I have 96 Civic Vti (in Pakistan) 4 door sedan RHD 5-speed. It comes with the D16Y6 sohc vtec motor. I am looking around to buy some stuff but nobody is aware of this engine code in the U.S. What I need to know is that if I buy headers, intake, exhaust, cams, pistons, etc. what engine code do I tell the vendors??????? I don't want to end up buying the wrong stuff, coz shipping & returning overseas is a b*tch.

 

tell em it's a 96 ex civic

 

since it's sohc vtec, I would purchase items from the D16Y8 or D16Z6, most likely the D16Y8 due to you have a 96 (obd2).
