well today for sure i was racial profiled...but thats the least of my concerns rit enow heres the story ill try to make it clear as possible......
i was stuck in traffic on a 2 way street with 1 middle lane...a police coming towards me bust a U turn and goes 2 cars behind me... he follows me for a good 6 blocks b4 he pulls me over... then heres the situation firs thing he ses to me.. i pulled you over becuz of your tint and exhaust...but i tell him its a 50 state legal greddy exhaust.. and do you have a deciple meter he ses he doesnt need one...the the funny thing about him sayign about my tint is my windows were rolled down the whole time....how can he have seen this? then he ask me the usual license registration insurance....and ask's me to pop my hood so i did.. i got a greddy turbo kit but writes me up for an intake and gives me a ticket to go to the ref.. after i wrote down and quoted him on what he said and asked him to sign that piece of paper that i wrote down he neglected.. so i asked for his badge# name and supervisors name... got those 2... but now i go to his HQ and ask for this sgt Servin at the front desk and was told hes busy and for me to leave my info down .. and now im sitting here waiting for the past..............6 hrs writing on this MSB what you tihnk i should do? should i file for a complaint, go to the ref? just pay the ticket....and leave it be.. oh and also he takes pictuers of my engine bay so i was thiking yay import show off !! first of all just let him do his job and be polite..you seemd to be a little ***** to him with your smart *** remarks so he dicided to be a hard *** and waste your time and money...let them do thier jobs..and dont be a ******* with smart *** remarks..now your gonna have to pay fines or whatever and waste your time..ive found if your always polite with police they usually give you a break but if your a dick they can be 100 times worse and its not worth getting in a pissing contest with the law because they will always win

 

That's gay. I got pulled over for my Greddy EVO, but it really isn't 50 state legal. No exhaust louder than stock is legal. The Greddy does apply to California's sound pollution law, but every state is different in their laws. I tried to fight it, but after gathering all the facts I knew I was not going to win because of what the law states in my area. F*cking gay. Fight it if you can't, if you can't don't waste your time and money.

 

well actually if you was to hear how he first have said anythign to me.. im pretty sure you would have done the samething makes me wish i had a camcorder or some kinna recording device......but mebeing a dick as you say i guess its wrong to know whats right why should i stand down hes not any greater then me i kno my rights and hes just abusing his cuz hes hiding behind that badge of his to be honest but...you really went off topic i ask what i should do not what i could have done... OH and plus im in CALI oh and i heard ... now that police officers have to go to court.. they also get paid for that tooo..

take him to court and fight it...first off if he doesn't show up for the hearing, your ticket gets thrown out automatically i think, and some judges are lenient too, so ionno, it's worth the try

 

well the REF appt must be kept trust me.. the judge will ask you why you would show up at his courtroom without going to the REF first... and illegal intake ticket is uncorrectable so you will have to pay for that..good luck.. and worse comes to worse you take the turbo kit out and go to the ref and sign off the ticket from them

 

I would definitely fight it. I too have been pulled over and given a ticket for bs reasons. Just the other day for 'blue' blinkers. I explained to the jackass that they are not blue but hyperwhite, but he still gave me the ticket. He also started out with an attitude and I gave it right back. Anyway I'm going to the courthouse on Thursday to set a court date to fight my ticket. Good luck with yours.

 

i say to hell with people that dont show respect to you. if a cop dosent show respect to you then dont show it back (not to the point where you swing at him or something). always try to fight it and if you truly do feel he was a dick to you and you have something to file a complaint about then do it.

that ticket is not worth fight. it is a fix it ticket and all you have to do is change the bulbs. yes, i live in california and got the same ticket.

for romeo619romeo, the cops are there to do their job but if you feel the need to fight it, go for it but in the long run is it worth your time and money?

i think the law now is if the cop doesnt show he gets fined for it.

if you were there youd understand.....thats why i said thats the least of my concern... plus that would be pretty hard to prove.. its all in prospective point of view.. the officers actaully came to my house not too long ago.. and sat down and turn the whole entire thing over...but oh wells....
