3 inch piping with HKS muffler on 2000 civic
sup all! im trying to put a 3 inch muffler with 3 inch piping for my 2000 civic si. almost every shop is telling me it wont fit my civic. either its too low to the ground or they say its going to mess up my motor. not sure what they mean though by messing up my motor. so can anyone tell me if they have done this to their civic or integra?? thanks! also if anyone from the bay area has 3 inch piping what shop did you do it at?
about everyone here is probbaly upgraded most of there ehxuast to 3inch. dont worry they just scaring you. You might rub is the only bad thing.. if it hangs too low.
the thing is, im dont have enough power when im on a hill. i find myself constantly trying to add more and more and more gas when im in first gear rolling back goin up a hill. im running on stock piping and muffler right now. downpipe is 2.5 goin into 2/25 piping. i think im losing power there. anyone else with suggestions?????????
My friend and I both ordered custom 3" piping for our cars. I have a 00 si and he has a 94 prelude with H22, both have fmax kits. He already got his exhaust put on with a ss hks muffler. It sounds beastly. It's deep and not ricey like most exhausts. Can't wait to get mine on. I have an apexi muffler right now on my stock piping and will just use that on my 3". Just take it to midas or meineke, someone's gotta be able to put it on, and i'd suggest to raise ur car a bit so the pipe doesnt scrape. Then get it tuned, not much point in tuning a turbo car with the restrictive stock piping.
