yup, same thing happened to me, try turning on your lights and driving, with it like that, oh god that's horrible. It was my valve cover ground, you can make your own if you get some connectors, and cut some 8 gauge amp wire, plus it will look pretty

What would be the best way to check the grounds (Test light)?

A ground wire really can't go bad, just take them off and resand the spot where there bolted down at.

best way is if u can get a schematic, and a trouble tree from a shop, sometimes shops will sell them off of mitchell, and follow the tree, it will lead u to the problem guaranteed.

I had the same problem and a I have a bad ground on the starter that fixed the light problem but My car still bogged once in a while....i could never figure it out until I sold the car because eventually it was completely dead and me and the friend I sold it to were working on it...and put a new battery in it....and it has ran fine ever since its not just a bad battery its the fact my battery was so old and low on acid that it would drop below almost 10 volts while the car was running! a good battery and alternator will run at 14.6 to show atleast 75% charged....what was happening was my injectors would squirt to much then not enough then to much....I figured this out to late though....

I would replace the battery and go from there....or atleast run a DMM on it before and then while the car is running to see what it puts out....key on engine off the battery should put out atleast 12.45 volts...with the engine on like I said should be around 14.6 to totally rule out the battery and alternator......a bad ground wont make a car bog...

dude, that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard, two people have already said they had the same problem, including me. Here, if you've still got a honda, which i'd imagine you do, go outside, and take the ground wire off your valve cover and see what happens when you go for a drive. Lol, dude you shouldn't go spouting off things like this, unless you are sure about it, you are trying to get this dude to spend un needed money, on a battery, all he needs to do is check his grounds.

I sold my crx...for one..and two I had a bad ground about 3 of them....including the valve cover....the only reason and by only I mean at the most...a bad ground to cause a bog or surge would have to be a big impact on the injectors...or the charging system in general.....most of the time if your car has a bad ground youll have a hard time even starting it....as soon as you turn your key to the accesorys and the fuel pump primes and your charging system is energized it will send a loud ticking close to your main relay.....dash lights flash...and ecu light flickers...and the car will either barely crank or show similiar symptons of a bad battery trust me I learned my lesson the hardway and sold my car for one of these reasons.
