Default waterlocking motor

hey i was drivin home from my girls school the other day and i saw a fellow crx guy stopped on the side of the road so of course i stop to help and he said he drove through a big puddle and his car shut off...before he even open the hood i just knew he had a CAI...so he waterlocked his motor? when he tries to start it...it doesnt even crank at all...i told him that hes screwed...i was just wonderin how hard is it to do this...i mean the puddle was big but if this is so easy to do why do people get cold airs?its not worth it to me...owell just lookin for some peoples opinions

Well its easy if you run over a big puddle, but why would you do that. If it floods, and you have to drive becarefull. If you see a big puddle and your scared, shut the car off and let it drift.

trust me. I wasnt planning to hydrolock my motor either but it happened. just gotta be careful on those rainy days.

i felt bad for the fellow rexer....you wont see me buyin a CAI after that

get one of those intake boxes that have a big tube to where the CAI filter would be
then no waterlock

Get the by pass valve.
Or you could disconect the lower section. But yeah get the By-pass valve thats what they are for.
