Default Climate Control Problem

On my climate control it's very hard to move the temperature slider. Is my cable bad? What should i do to make it work better?

Disconect the cable from the hot water valve to see what is tight.

i did. it didn't seem that hard to push it back and pull it forward. I took the cable completely off and layed it on the ground and it didn't seem to lay flat. i even switched it with a different climate control and re-installed it and it still wasn't right.

I'm not sure what all you checked. Is the hot water valve free? Is the cable binding? Or is the hot air door sticking?

i can open the hot air door with my hands. The cable does seem to have a little tension but i'm not sure what's normal.

Yes, with the heater hoses connected to it.
