Default automatic ZC same as manual?

I was just wondering if a ZC with an automatic tranny would be the same as a manual one. just engine wise? cause I have a 5 speed right now and was wondering if a zc that came with an auto tranny would be the same as the manual..

From what I know they are the same, and its preferred that you get the auto because you know it wasn't over revved. Any one else know if there is a difference?

different in a bad way?

I hope they're the same, cause like what beta13 said - this way I know it wasn't overrevved

There is no difference in an engine that started its life as an automatic then converting it to manual. Like said above you are better off getting an auto engine because it wouldn't be over revved then converting it over to a manual by taking off the flex plate and putting on a manual flywheel on. also there is no difference in the cams at all so that is false information

the automatic has 2 extra vacuum nipples on the back of the intake manifold, you'll just need to plug them.

yeah, the 2 that get plugged are directly on the back of the intake manifold, it should be pretty clear, just compare it to the si intake man ... if not, they're right in the center on the backside of the manifold

we just installed a formerly automatic zc into my buddies 91 civic standard. it totally rips with a 91 si tranny, pulls really well, feels exactly like mine. i read they are the same. b16's are different, but zc's should be the same.
