Default Good Idea For J's Racing Intake?

I made the heat shield myself few days ago, took me an hour to do this, what you think ... it looks not very good but just share with ppl with j's racing intake.. Thanks

hehe well i don't have a CF hood so don't want have a hole on my stock hood but ur is pretty good i like it

I did this on My Si a few years ago. Until I insulated the metal sheild, it actually caused the car to lose power. The metal heated up so much that it raised the intake temp and the ecu retarded the crap out of my timing.

Check out the different stuff I did in the link in my sig. Everything is in the Modifications section.

I run AEM CAI now, so it's all moot.

(That J-s racing CF setup is frickin' gorgeous, though!!! )

Poohface--Awesome job. That is a rockin' setup. "Sprint" as in Chevy Sprint??

What do you do in the rain??? Does the filter drown?

good god poohface, looks great. maybe i should do that for my j's also...im still running my oem hood.


eh...maybe not. i dont have the testosterone (or the tools) to hack up my hood like that, but good job nonetheless. oh and sweet shield too spec r.
