Default 90 accord EX coupe wouldnt start then died-

1990 accord ex coupe automatic trans f22a1 2.2 liter engine
- i would turn the key and it would start up then die as soon as i let go of the key then i tried keeping my foot on the gas and starting it at the same time then i tried flooding the engine that didnt work either it would just crank up and die the last straw was when i finally got it started and i drove about 8 miles and it died while i was driving in traffic i tried to start it up again but it would just crank n die i can tell the engine wanted to stay on but something wasnt letting it happen can some one give me a clue as to what it might be-

i would say to look at 2 things eithe rthe ignitor or the fuel pump but i think it is the fuel pump..

i found out that when i turn the key and hold , it stays on it can stay on for a long time like that but if i let go of the key it just dies

ok so far ive checked the spark plugs, the distributer, my injectors, and i opened my airbox so it could breath easier and i would have checked the pump but the engine is getting gas so im thinking thats not it im going to have the ignition switch checked im thinking if i can hotwire my car and it stays on without a problem it must be the ignition switch but i was wondering how hard this jobs gonna be if it is the switch [ im feeling the whole switch thing because ive been reading up on stuff and im getting the same answer [igniton switch] i dont wanna be an ungratefull *** so thanks for the help- ill be posting as i find out more tomorrow -

i would just go buy the new harness they are like 60-70 at the dealer and they are quite common to have problems
