I was wondering what the top speed of a 96 civic EX manual tranny can go.. I toped out the speedometer and the tach went up some more I was just wondering if anyone has ever clocked on in 5th gear while redlined...

 

Are you dropping it off a cliff, or a bridge?

Seriously though, I believe the speed governor is set at 120.

GPS says 107mph. The puny SOHC would not push air anymore.

 

ummm, my sohc has pushed my 92 dx sedan up to like 122ish, maybe the never years are slower.........

 

i've gone 122(or so the speedo says, don't know if its any accurate) then the engine cut off, this was in fifth gear at about 4500 rpms. 6g ex.

 

Ive done 130 in mine, so the speedo said.
