Um, an S80 is a Hydro b-series tranny; S1 is a Cable b-series tranny.
Have you seen either type before?
I mean are you a total newb to B-series tranny?

i need the LS tranny from the 90-91 teg. it has longer gear ratios and is best for boost from what ive herd. I dont know much outside of the cable type trannies.

stay away from the 90 USDM S1 tranny, get a 91-93 YS1(ls) tranny since it's befier than the 90. since you didn't specify what setup your running, i can tell you that 1 and 2nd gear will pull really good, third and fourth is where this tranny dies for the N/A guys. but in your case, you'll be boosting hard on third, and fourth gear!

actually, the YS1 tranny's are from 92-93 years only, all 90-91 US LS trannys are S1's.

Okay first of all by YS1 wouldn't we be refering to the 92-93 B17A's tranny?? Then also how much boost are you planning on running... I would not recommend that tranny unless first you are hybridizing it or second you are running some high *** boost ... Probably somewhere around 20lbs.+ (which then means you have a fairly built motor) It takes a lot to spool with an LS tranny... A straight LS tranny hurt my friend's daily driven GSR turbo EK that made 506whp on 22lbs.. Once we added custom gearing it ran a lot better but you will have to do that work and it does get expensive... If you are running anything under that much boost I would just recommend an B17's (YS1) tranny... Also I've been going off this whole time assuming that you have a VTEC motor... What motor and what mods do you have done?? Peace

-- no, YS1 tranny's are all 92-93 Integra tranny's, both LS and GSR, JDM and US. JDM B16A YS1 tranny's have an optional LSD though.

YS1 refers to ANY 1992-1993 Integra transmission, whether GSR or LS/GS/RS.

Damn, that's tight... never knew that... My bad.... Don't work with cable that much and whenever I heard YS1 come up I always just assumed the B17A's tranny... Thanks... Peace
