how to polish valve cover
Well, from my experience I just bought 300 grit and sanded using aluminum polish and worked my way up to 800 grit and then used high heat clear coat so it didn't tarnish or get **** on it...my .02
Lots and lots of mother's aluminum polish after removing the wrinkle paint and sanding as mentioned before. I also took 1000 grit and wet sanded it before polishing. Thats it!
im actually going in the garage to do that now, ill send a pic when im done... i did up to 400 grit already, 600-800-1000-1500-2000 (if i can find it) then mothers polish
so i should do 1500 grit then 1000 then 800 then 600 then down to 400 then use mothers aluminum polish? also what should i use to sand it by hand or what? and how much should i sand it at each grit. also i sandblasted it so i dunno. someone help me out
