Uhh, this is not due to '****** arabs' this is due to our own big oil companies anticipating a war. What we as a nation really should be concentrating on is developing viable alternatives to pure combustion engines, such as hybrid gas-electric and hydrogen fuel cell cars.

If you really want someone to blame for high gas prices, look straight at our leadership, which is pushing for war.

actually you both have it wrong, its not anticipation of war or the "******* arabs" its the new leadership of venezuela, they were a HUGE producer of oil and a major one for the US market. they have recently cut their oil production to almost nothing, this is why gas is expensive.

They are all full of **** about what the cause of high gas prices. There was an Exxon representative that taked to our Chem class that said Exxon alone has enough oil to supply the US for the next 100 years. They just want a little more money here and there.

EXPENSIVE?! Oh my GOD, you've got to be kidding me, right??!

When I go home to Germany, gas prices are almost TWICE what they are here at their HIGHEST point! Don't complain, at least you're fortunate enough to be driving a car in a country where it costs (comparably) very little to own and operate one. Anyway, I'm GLAD to see prices hike on gas. I can't wait till the day I see/hear some SUV owner cursing at the pump cause it cost him $100/tank! Hehehe. Anyway, only my 2 cents; Peace!!!

It's $1.87 for 93 here. Race gas hasn't changed, it's still $3.99 for 100.

depending on where I go, it's either $1.73 for 92 (forget what gas they sell there) or down the road when it's open I can get the Sunoco 94 for $1.73 also

That is correct, people please keep your damn mouth shut and dont start blaming people unless you know the facts.

The way I get good prices on gas is by going to Sams Club. Their gas is like 10 cents cheaper than other places usually. I got premium for like 1.72 or so.

I just got back from Sakhalin Island in Russia, Its East of Russia. This is actually considered and suppose to be as big if not bigger then all the Arab finds. Exxon is going to be recieveing cargo for the Land Rig, I give it about 3-4 years before fully operational, then your prices are going to drop an considerable amount, unless russia wants to be homo about the find.

damn, ill check prices here. last i checked (2 days ago) it was 1.55 for 93. once prices start to get crazy, hopefully the govt. will step in and put a price lock on it so it cant go up...they have done it before.

actually just the opposite is true.

The local convience store chain here called "Sheetz" was selling gas at a fair price during the last time prices went really high. They had an interview with the owner of the company because the government actually came in and told him he wasn't allowed to sell the gas for that cheap for some reason and said if he did every day it was that cheap he would be fine a substantial amount of money. That's our government being ultra gay.

Oh, and if they would be allowed to use more of the nature reserve area in alaska to get more oil out prices would drop too. But that's been a very touchy issue for a long time
