B16A Head/GSR Block- Good for Turbo?
Did the SEARCH, and there are a ton of topics, this lowers compression... stick with the GSR head... etc. But none mentioned if this is a good setup with a Turbo. To me, it seems lowing the compression a few points and using the larger combustion chamber of the B16 Head- when coupled some decent tuning would be pretty badass. Is anyone running this setup with FI or seen one? TIA
i just bought a gsr bottom end to im gona drop je 9.0-1's in it and crower rods so im hoping it will be bullit proof to 20 psi.
p.s anyone recomend a blowck guard if so which 1 i was thinking inline pro i'd like to hear your thoughts.

If I use the stock bore of the B18c Block- is there any mods I need to do to the head to make this work? I'm planning on swapping OUT the B16a cams/springs/retainers in favor of GSR cams/valvespring/retainers at the same time. This shouldn't affect any of my valvetrain geometry, right?

You should be fine. I have a b18c5 block, but with a 2000 Si Head. I just had the head ported and polished. I didn't think it was worth the extra money for the Type-R head.

Timing belts are based off the water pump gear. What ever water pump gear oyu have you need that belt.
I wanted to go with this set-up, but those GSR shortblocks are running too much money. I already have a spare b16, so when I have the money I'm just gonna get that sleeved to 84 mm. Twice the money, but hopefully some piece of mind.
