Default timing on 75 shot of nawz?

i have 2 ecus . one is a stock pr3 and the other is a mugen spec -4500 vtec and 10,500 redline. i know i`m not suppose to run the mugen on the nawz because the mugen advances timing but if i retard base timing at the distributor can i compensate for the advance of the mugen and still run safe?

you kidding right?...

it'll prolly be ok, but it'll run like crap before the ecu advances the timing. how much of an advance is it?

don`t know the specs of the mugen but i can look into it. you have to retard timing on nawz so it won`t fry your valves. reason i wanna try it is because of the lower vtec x-over and higher redline . i shift at 9500 not the 10,500 on the chip.. with my setup i think there is some hardcore power up there but i only use the nawz on my stock pr3 . 8200redline comes quick with ctr camz and complete typeR valvetrain and portflow retainers with a 10 oz single belt pulley

What are the benefits of the mugen ECU? There is a guy in town that will chip them for $250. I was thinking about doing it. I know about the insane rev limit, but on an engine with stock internals, are there any benefits?

don`t know about a stock motor . mine is built pretty tuff. really brought out the ctr camz though. there is more power past 8200 with my setup at least. i built it to rev -hence all the light weight parts . it grags below 3k but after 4500 vtec GOODBYE MUSTANG GT.

im sure you can once you figure out the ratio .. go -2 degress for every 50 shot.so with a 75 shot if you ran the stock ecu you could go -2 degrees but if you want to be safe go -3. and dont forget to put in cold plugs .. same deal with timing -2 degrees colder per every 50.

so you purchased and installed a after market ecu program with out knowing what it does excepts changes the reline and the vtec point. why dont you call mugen and ask. just a thought.
