12k for a b18c5? sure, i'll get you one for that price........j/p. you should not be spending that much for a type r motor, unless there are tons of extras. a c5 should run between 4-6k depending on milage & where purchased from.......

dude just go with a b16 swap , its not worth the time and money for a itr swap, it gonna be hard enough to get the b16 engine in there

well ill agree b16a1 would be best b18c5/c1 youll have to cut the firewall to get it to fit... I wouldnt have chosen a b series at all its expensive and it adds weight to the already nose heavy car which means alot of expensive suspension parts are needed.Ie torsion bars, sleeve coil overs in the rear with high lbs/inch ratio... 400- 500, pan hard bar and rear anti sway bar a d16a1/zc is soo mutch easier and with alil work can match the b16a1 in power and beat it right out of the park in torque.... hell a build up on the ew4 engine is a great idea too almost indstructable bottom end it liky the boost over bore to 1.6 Litre with zc/d16a1 pistons and dont say you are stuck with an 86 si ... it like saying i am stuck withthis pot of gold the 1g crx si is the best car honda ever made period.

I would just go with a gsr motor. The parts would be cheaper more people have them so those parts would be easier to come by and so on. And I don't know what ghost was talking about with cutting the firewall, that's not true at all, and you don't need all of that suspension bs. Just some good coilovers and struts are fine, based on the motor.

get an ls. b16 is a pos. the torque will be really fun in that little car, and you can find 90-93 ls swaps in your local junk yards for 400-800

Get a D16A9, I think thats the 1st Gen Integra engine. I'm not positive but I think it is direct bolt in. But anyhow I know its the common swap for 3G Civics/1G CRX.

If you want to go B series go B20vtec. I had it in my '87 Si and its by far the best swap choice for the money. Get a B16, ditch the block and drop a B20 block in. Simple, fast setup. Done.

The grammer in your first post is horrible. Punctuation is the key. Anyways go with a d16a8/9 swap--simple and decently quick.

I think he meant the guy who started the thread. Your grammar is kind of chopy too though. I dont want to sound like an a**hole, it just makes the post harder to read when people dont use punctuation and have run-on sentences.

Yeah. Don't be so defensive. There is a greater chance that people will help you if you don't sound like a baboon.
