Attn. EP3 remote gas door problems
I read a post on ephatch.com about a potention problem with the remote gas door release not opening and brushed it off without a second thought. My car is less than a month old and I recently have already had 2 incidences where it would not open until after many tries. I need to take this into my dealer ASAP, but to make sure they cover it under warranty I would like to know how many EP3 owners here have had the same problem so I can show evidence of it being a consistent issue. Thanks a lot.

I'm the one on ephatch that had the problem...
You dont have to prove other people are having the problem...
Just show them and they HAVE to fix it...

I realize this, but its got to be a common problem amongst all EP3s. I think that Honda should know of this problem even if people aren't taking there cars in under warranty. My dealer has always been pretty shitty when it comes to stuff like this, so I just want to let them know of others' problems as well.
If you don't mind me asking, what exactly is done to fix this? Approximately how long will it take to repair so I know what day to take it in? I just don't want to get stuck at a gas station with no gas and a stupid lid that won't pop open.
mine does it as well. and OF COURSE THE DEALER WILL FIX IT - and you dont have to have any other occurences. its not working correctly, doesnt matter if anybody elses doesnt work correctly. i have to push and pull my lever like 3-4 times before it opens. im gonna take it in to get fixed but just havent had a chance. peace

Mine is working fine for now, but if your dealer won't fix it, although they are supposed to, thne just go to a different dealer. Even though not every ep3 has that problem, they are still obligated to fix it.
Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but my gas door has quit working completely. I have to pop out the little access panel in the trunk and unscrew the cable to open the door...very ghetto.
Does anyone know if there is a cable adjustment, or is this strictly a, "have the dealer fix" kind of thing.

Yeah mine doesn't work either, it takes two people to open it, one to pull the switch the other to pop it open with a long thin object. I called my dealer and they said they'd fix it. It only takes less than an hour, depending on the workload they have goinig on
