Default pics of my header guard (skidplate)

i dunno if u can see in the first pic (this lcd sucks) theres a ton of scrape marks on my driveway from this thing. and from looking at how close it is to the header, i bet that the header wulod be leaving the marks if the skidplate wasnt there

actually, that was custom made. it is a DC header on there a JDM 4-1. that guard is welded to the front x member. i have hit it HARD and it hasnt bent yet, but has dropped showers of sparks out the back of the car

so, your basically saying, if i get a a DC header (which i plan on getting), it sits so low that it hits or scrapes? (on 90si)?, cause if i get one, i would'nt want it hitting when i go up driveways and such.

i did'nt know if your car is lowered or not, cause maybe thats why the header sits lower? just wondering

i had the car MUCH lower. i had to raise it because the header sits so low. i DO NOT reccomend this header on a b16, only a b18c
here is a pic of my cars ride height.

the front had to be raised ~ 1 inch and i still scrape on everything

where does it mount to other than the crossmember? can you get a better pic of the under side of the guard?

Did you have to modify the header at all for it to fit? Im putting an LS in my CRX using HASports...are there any headers that will fit it without modification? If i buy a header i dont want to cut and reweld it. Thanks.

boys and girls the cheapest way to not destroy headers is to not be that low!.... i mean as long as you have a good suspension and no body lean you dont need to be that low here is my car i have TEINS on it and it isnt that low, but i always come in top 10 at autoXs with 50 Plus people in class.....and i dont know how to drive

donot be a hater u KNOW my car isint low. i got the fronts raised up so high the springs are binding, so its near impossible to raise it anymore

for all the Q's.
the guard is welded to the front x member. ill try to get some better pics soon.
the only thing that required modification was the x member, and he notched it with a plasma cutter to make the ehder fit well. the piece is a boxed in steel pieces that were cut to fit the x member. its actually 4 pieces of metal, using a reinforcememnt piece.

if any of you are really interested in getting one of these made for your car, you can give my fabricator a call. he does AWESOME work

oh yea, these DC JDM 4-1 is made for the taller block of the b18c, so it sits alot lower on a b16 (less deck height) i can stick my finger between the header and the oil pan, im sure its the same way with a JDM ITR 4-1, but from what ive seen, the dc will hang lower becasue of how the tubes are paired

BTW- stay tuned. ill get more pics tomorrow after work

actually that header is in pratically perfect condition, as you can see. when i hit something that guard hitting the ground pops the car back up so quick that nothing gets damaged.
