Ok my friend has a 90 crx bored out gsr block with a b16 head its has some where around a 16:1 compression, its basically fully built, welded diff, fully gutted going to weigh about 1700 with him in it, he going to make about 230whp all motor w/ race gas. He says his setup is good for high 10's. Do you really think he can pull that with about 230whp in a stripped crx "1700 w/ driver"?

 

no, there are some people making 230 and the car weights about 1500 with driver doesn't even hit that time. i think you're going to need some work on the car and the motor should over 240 atleast to pull the high 10s.

16:1 compression should make over 230 PERIOD. there are people running that compression and they are making about 250+ and some people are running about 13.5:1 compression and they are close making 250 already.

Ive seen people with only 250hp(dunno the tq)only hit low to mid 12's with stripped interior..No 10's for you.Like Evil said maybe 11's.If your a good driver.

 

with the right suspension/tranny set up on that weight crx, 230 to the wheels, and wheelie(traction bars for you PC people) bars, he will run low 11's. like 11.20-11.30. no better.

 

At 1740 lbs and 237 whp our best was a 11.53 @ 116mph, and thats with a good driver without wheelie bars!

my friends car went 11.40's with around 220 to the wheels and 1700-1800 lbs. 11.50's all day long.

 

10's all motor- Dou you still have that spool

 

What would you hit with 230whp and a full interior 92 civic hb?

 

I ran 10.99 about 7 to 8 months ago and I had the same 260 WHP that I have now,Until I decided to with a smaller slick I finally ran 10.78 And my car has always weight 1600 lbs with driver.

 

What engine,turbo and what was the psi set at?

Did you say that you ran the 10.78 on a smaller slick? I think I read that correctly. What size did you drop to?

 

i saw javier's car run 10.78 at battle in november.. strangely i tried going back to running a smaller slick and it also worked for me... i was running 11.3 11.4s with a 24.5 tire and went to a 11.2 11.3 with a 22/9 i notice alot of cars switching back and going just as fast or faster.....

Yea, with 16:1 I would think that it should make over 230. I recently read about a 11.5:1 compression motor making 240+

 

I was running 24.5/7/13 and I decided to try 22/9/13 and I ended with a better 60 foot and a better ET. My gearing it's always been stock, I have a jdm 16 tranny with a 4.78 final drive. I'm thinking on putting a 4.9 final dive but I know that I will gear out.
