I could be many things.....is your hood open? Trunk open? (if the installer hooked this up)

Your Valet switch could be on if you have the the older version. The newer version doesnt have a physical switch. Its built into the remote.

If you have a stick shift vehicle, did you set up the "reservation mode?"

I need more details to diagnose.

You might have to reset the reserve mode if you have a manual trans. go in car and reset the reserve mode. check your manual

ok I cheked a few things all the doors were closed(no power locks) , trunk was properly closed, hood closed etc.... before I remove the key I put it on the hand brake leave it on neutral and the car stays on until I close the door which is whats supposed to happen...

now about the switch the installer used a switch I made to disable my blue signal lights that I have on my M3 mirrors(ricey) but anyway I've played around with the swith but it doesn't make a difference

btw I have the older style (black) pager...

You are reserving it right . But there should be a valet switch other than your ricey switch somewhere. When you find it try it on then try it off.

my money is on the hood pin. { try removing the wire, or pressing it down to see if it's up.. and try starting the car

The compstar should give you a code by a number of parking light flashes after the original three. (ie...flashes 3 times and then 1 more.....the unit is sensing that the engine is running) It should flash from 1 to 6 times with each # being a different problem. If you post that # on here then either myself or HandCommand should be able to pin-point the trouble area.

yea he's correct 3 beeps is a code, just because your door is closed doesn't mean the alarm sees it as being closed, maybe the wire came loose. if they are negative trigger, then it needs to see 12v when the door is closed

1 Engine On
2 Key On
3 Door Open
4 Trunk Open
5 Brake On
6 Hood Open
7 Reservation Off (Manual Transmission Only)

the three beeps meant then the door was opened??
thats impossible I cheked that... ok this is what I did and I duno if the install is messed up but basically what worked for me is I have a fog light switch that I no longer use and all I did is switch it on and now it autostarts its weird I'll have to talk to the installer about it doesn't seem right
