BULLSHIT!! You dont need to change the engine!

Just get a new pulley.

on the left hand side there was a noise and i thougt it was the water pump but when i pulled it apart and i have to take off the crank pulley in order to get to the water pump and the was a pin there and the end of the crank looks like some body has been messing with it.is it hard to change the crankshaft

there is supposed to be a key stock...it's a square piece of metal that fills in the indentation of the crank and the pulley. Serves the same purpose as a woodruff key, it's supposed to be there. It keeps the crank pulley on the crank in the same location, instead of slipping

around my house lx engines are a dime a dozen, make sure the parts don't cost more than the motor because i think i could find one for about 350...500 or so for an ex engine.
