Default Question about stock cd player on a 99 civic

I had to disconnect my battery the other day to clean it.

I hooked it back up and went for a drive, now I know you have to put the code in to get the cd player to work.

I though I knew it off of the top of my head, so I tried it a few times, since I didnt have the card on me. I tried putting a cd in there also to see if that would work.

Now it has this message that just says "code error". I tried to take out my cd player so I could try to remove the cd that I jammed in there, but I cant get it out.

There are those 2 screws that are on the bottom of the console,(I drive a coupe if that helps any) Well I took out the screws and tried lots of things, but cant get it out.

I just want to listen to my radio and cd player again, does anyone know how to fix this, or at least how to take out the cd player?

Thanks in advance

Just wondering, but why do you have your radio code "memorized" ??

I just remember looking at it once, I dont have it memorized.

I was already like 10 minutes from my house and I didnt want to turn around. I just thought form what I remembered from looking at it, that it might work, but it didnt.

i used to have mine memorized because my battery used to die so often because i would leave the alarm on and not drive it for a long time. Why not jsut get the code so you have a functional cd player??

It wont let me put the code in anymore. It just says "code error" and none of the buttons on the cd player work

Try taking out the battery again for a minute and it should ask you for the code again.

Either wait an hour for it to reset, or remove the Neg terminal on your battery for about 10 mins. After it resets it will let enter the code again.

edit: you do not have to remove the radio.

oh ok, thanks for the help. Will it spit that cd that is in there out?

Or will it not work at all because its jammed in there? I will disconnect the battery again.

Thanks for the help.

After you put in the code, I'm pretty sure it will let you eject the cd.
