Default how much boost?

any one know how much boost a stock h22 or h23 closed deck block is capable of handling keep in mind that this is in consideration of JE pistons and eagle rods and which of my components would give out wirst. the head is fully built for boost with valves springs and retainers and the crank has been balanced and ill be running a fully tuned aem ems.

be sure to get your block re-sleeved if you use JE psitons, you cannot run JE psitons on a stock block, you have to re-sleeve it...... but, you shoudl be able to push 20+ psi easily

what turbo?!?! The amount of boost is dependant on the turbo and how much air you are gonna be pushing. If you have some small t25 dsm turbo you can run 20 psi on a stock block b/c that small turbo doesn't push much air. At the same rate, if you put a big t78 you could only run like 5 psi on a stock block b/c it pushes soo much air. I'm assuming like most you are gonna run a t3/t4 ot t4 or something about that size, with re-sleeving and pistons/rods, and fully tuned for high boost with aem computer(get the wideband for auto-tuning!), I'd say 20 psi, but thats all dependant on you getting enough fuel to supply that air flow(bigger injectors, fuel pump, etc)

i will have more than enough fuel ill be running a custom setup of dual walbros (255lph) with 750cc injectors as far as getting my block resleeved i knew i had to do that because the JEs are forged but is this just another type of stock sleeves or should i look towards a set of dartons and in that case wouldn't i be able to do up to 50 psi in that case

you have to run iron sleeves, Golden Eagle sleeves are the shizzle if you ask me

why the hell you you need dual walbros?

Forgive me if I am wrong but 20 pounds/square inch is still 20 pounds/square inch.
The bigger the turbo, the more boost it can push with less stress.

i get all of this stuff for pretty cheap since i work at a shop in town but i intend on turning this thing out completely once i find a new car and the more than extra fuel will come in handy at very little cost on my part.

2 fuel pumps is pointless, one 255gph is more than enough

ya but doesnt cfm's com into play. isnt that why a bigger turbo w/lower boost will sometimes make more power the a smaller turbo w/higher boost. also considering the efficancy i guess.

you guys only say 20 psi, **** im hopiong for 25-30, but we'll see.

depends on the compressor maps etc. Each turbo has it's own output, and PSI is never constant (well really). Most of the time in the way higher RPM's psi seems to drop a little. What a big turbo w/less boost will do for you is cause major turbo lag

Not really true...It mainly depends on the specs of the engine itself. If you have a low compression ratio (example: 8:1 or maybe even lower) then you're going to have more lag but you can boost more safely. If you have a higher compression (example: 10:1) then your going to have less lag but you cant push out as much boost safely.
