Default keyless entry but no power door locks

I want to get a keyless entry system installed but I don't currently have power door locks installed on my 98 civic dx. I assume this is a requirement, so I was wondering if anyone knew how much it would cost to have power door locks put in and a keyless entry system together.

Well expect an average price of $75.00-$100.00 per door parts and labor.
Many keyless entry systems will have the option for or may come with a single
immobilizer circuit. The avg price will run $150-175.00 installed.

I would suggest looking into a security system ( this will have keyless entry,a single immobilzer as well as triggers for all entry points as well as a shock sensor)
that will offer a little more piece of mind.

hope this helps

Yup you will need an accuator in each door in order for it to unlock and lock your doors.

yeah most places including mine usually have a basic alarm for about the same price as a keyless unit, so spend the extra 20-50 dollars and you will have an alarm with starter kill and in some cases shock sensor

getting the wires into the doors of your car is alot of work if done right, so i would recomend having it done at a shop if it is in your budget to do so.

I only had power locks installed in my drivers door when I had my alarm put in. It's one way to save some money if that is an issue.

you should get an alarm along w/ adding the door lock actuators to your car for power door locks.. that way you have convenience (keyless entry) and some security... instead of just spending like $200 or so for keyless entry alone...

I got mine for 100 bucks a door installed, sucks to have a 4 door sometimes.

But I lucked out, when they when to install, it turns out, i had 3 power door locks installed, on the car not hooked up, so they justed hooked them, up and i had to pay for 2, becuase one of the front didn't work and one didn't have anything in it.

My car had alot of extra stuff in it, honda didn't know about.
I got a free alarm, which i took out, and powe door locks for free, in my dx.
