Default Anyone have a differential shim (N) laying around?

Just curious if anyone has these laying around from a LSD job.

Figured someone has bought a size too big or too little.

Its #4 in this pic, need something from an M to a Q.

I know I could get one from the dealer but they usually take a week to get parts.

Yeah. My H wont even click 5 ftlbs and I need 12-23.

Quaife w/ new tapered bearings & races on both sides.

Update:

The 12-23 I need is apparently INCH LBS not ft lbs. on me.

No wonder my torque wrench wouldnt pick it up. Been all over town trying to find a torque wrench that goes that low

How hard is it to install a quaife?

Theres a gear that runs the speed sensor and two bearings that have to be removed from the old and put on the new diff.

I had to buy new bearings ($70) since I couldnt get the old ones off. Once all the peices are transferred, you have to close the tranny and measure the preload on the tapered bearing (some have rollers, but not mine).

If the preload is off, it requires a shim change.

Not exactly brain surgery, but a little more envolved than I thought is was going to be.

we didn't want to bother with tapered bearings because we coudlnt reuse them to put them on a different differential so we just switched to ball bearing non tapered style since we were buying new bearings anyways. no preload to worry about

Just for the sake of people searching.

My torque wrench came in last night

(got it here: http://www.lickbike.com/i2608950.htm $40 shipped).

My preload was ~14-16 in lbs and didnt need a new shim (with new diff, bearings, and races).

I've never seen a clicking one that reads that low in INCH LBS.
