help! i have a stripped oil pan nut!
k, this blows ***. im swapping oil pans and when i go to loosen all the nuts and bolts one just stripped. and of course its the one in the corner next to the tranny...
so whats the best way to get that little bastard off? thanks

damn cuz calm down... he tried to help. try to grab the stud if any is showing and turn with pliers or somthing.. and hopefully the whole thing will turn.. or you can try to grab the nut or maybe put a smaller mm socket on there.
the NUT i need of is the one that is holding the shield thing on, so i cant take the shield off and the oil pan is in the way on the other side...you understand??? im just going to cut the nut in half with my dremel

Ok, im trying to make this clear, ok you stripped the nut itself? from using improper socket size or wrench size right.? If so, the only next way is to use a Vise Grip like others have stated. It works wonders for me. But if its rusted too, heating it up will help also. WD40 helps kill the rust too.
If nothing works, use dremel to cut the nut in half without cutting the stud itself too, to preserve the stud for next useage.

yes the nut is stripped. i was using a 10mm, cuz thats what size they are. you cant get vise grips in that small *** area. no rust, **** is the oil pan its covered in nasty *** grimmy/oilly ****...
