skunk2 has been saying TBA forever. i'm waitin on either their's or the edelbrock one that is supposedly coming out with their new turbo kit. i expect both to cost me some serious dough but im curious as to what gains these new pieces will show. sorry i can really answer ur ?s but your best bet is to call up or email them yourself and ask. sometimes they're slow on updating websites and such. good luck in your search
I was looking on Nopi.com and the Skunk2 mani is avail able for the D16Z6, but I haven't seen it anywhere else for sale. So they may be jumping the gun or its out and not widely available. http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...ifold&vaffid=0

I am waiting for one of those two intake manifolds to come out. I ditched the stock z6 intake manifold for my GF's turbo block so now i am forced to buy one or the other. I have seen pics from SEMA of the skunk2 for the d-series so i know they have them mocked up and ready to go. Wonder why the dont release them...
Well, the SOHC seems to have a similar RPM range to the B18B. I got the Skunk2 rather than the Edelbrock because I think the Skunk2 probably makes improvements that are more in the motor's power band, not over 8000 RPMs.
Now, B16, B18C, I would get the Edelbrock since those motors are such high RPM screamers.

As for Edelbrock, I would hope they would know that the D series isn't a hi rpm screaming engine. Wouldn't they design a mani for a not so hi revving engine?
Would the Skunk2 mani fit the Y8 as well? I'm not sure if there's a difference between the Z6 and the Y8 mani. A little OT, but would the Hondata intake mani gasket for the Z6 fit the Y8 as well?

And I was thinking the same thing about the JG manifold....
well, as for the JG manifold, i think it should do decently for boosted applications as they are packaging it with their new turbo kit. now i just have to see how the skunk 2 does for turbo sohcs. they should release those damn things already. arghh
Well here's the info off Edelbrock's website about the SOHC mani:
This new manifold for 1996-00 Honda Civics includes a secondary set of injector bosses for additional fuel requirements in turbo or race applications. The larger-than-stock plenum volume and 9" runner length are tuned for additional power at high rpm, providing excellent power levels throughout the 3000-7500 rpm operating range. The versatile design is ideal for normally aspirated or turbocharged engines. #4756 is 50-state street legal.
For 1996-00 SOHC V-TEC with unmachined secondary injector bosses 4756
For 1996-00 SOHC V-TEC with machined secondary injector bosses and fuel rail (no injectors) 4757*
*Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles.

landspeedracing.com has the skunk 2 out, the guy told me it would produce and extra 15hp on a D16z6
im sure if its out... we would all know. its a long awaited product. I'm going to stock both the Edelbrokc and the skunk2 as soon as I get a whole bunch avail. you know how im a big SOHC fanatic.

I think Edelbrock is waiting until nobody owns an SOHC anymore before they release their turbo kits and manifolds. By the time they are available, everybody will have swapped and Edelbrock will go bankrupt
I was looking at the photos of the JG SOHC mani form Semi and the design looks great for the SOHC. Better then the Skunk 2 IMO. I'm going w/ it once they release it.
the skunk2 should be for d16a and d16z right? and the edelbrock for the y8?
i really wanna try the edelbrock over the skunk but then i'd have to change the fuel rail etc on my z6.
i guess i'll end up buying watever out first or cheaper
