Default OK to run a Greddy Turbo kit on my car?

OK I have been wanting to add a turbo kit to my car but was diverted to thinking of a swap. I only want to spend about $2500 altogether so I wont get as far with a swap as a turbo kit. My engine has about 158,000 on it. Would it be safe to run a turbo kit on it (maybe at moderate boost)? Im guessing I should just check compression then go from there. She does burn oil at VTEC so they may seal the deal there. any thoughts?

Rebuild the motor for ~$600 and buy a Greddy kit.

What would that consist of if I were to do it myself?
