p.s. I know what the search button is dick. But I don't feel like reading about compression ratios and resleeving. FYI, i did the search and I just wanted some brief answers for MY specific situation.

 

This debate has raged on in about one hundered billion posts. These always spark the "B18C vs B16A" arguments. The B18C always wins these arguments.

If you can get a 170hp JDM SiRII B16A, it'll work spectacularly in your Sol, but more for roadrace/auto-x. It'll run low 15's in the 1/4.

The torque of the B18C cannot be had in the B16A no matter what you do. That torque also makes the car feel faster.

Basically, do what you want. Either one will make the car a performer. If you can get the B16A for a significantly cheaper price thean the B18C, I'd say go for it, and then use the difference to get a Koni yellows and Ground Controls.

Thank you for those who gave informative replies. And who cares if im a "noobie" yea, i just got into hondas, but before this I had a Cougar that I modded for 2 and half years. Import scene is much different than domestic. Engine swaps are very rare, and when they are possible there is usually only one or two alternatives. Everyone needs to start somewhere, so stop padding ur ego by trying to make people new to the scene look stuiped.
