Need new Master Cylinder which should I use??
I have a 94 Civic CX, the original master cylinder feels pretty squishy, the brakes fade quickly, and sometimes the pedal height drops at stop lights..
Currently I have slotted rotors on the front with porterfield pads, and the rear I just rebuilt the drums with new OEM wheel cylinders, new OEM pads, and new OEM springs.
The brake system has been fully flushed and bleed. I figure since I'm still having trouble, its time to replace the master cylinder.
My question is, I'm not going to get the tiny 13/16" master cylinder that is on there, so which is a good upgrade?
I know I can get an Civic EX 7/8" which would be nice, but I'm going to be spending the money to get a brand spanking new OEM master cylinder, so I might as well go as big as I can.
Can I use an Integra GSR or Type R master cylinder? If so, do I now need to swap out the Master power as well??
I really don't want to replace the master power, but if I have to so be it.
Thanks for the advice.

Ok, after doing some research, I see that the quickest and most efficent upgrade would be to use a 91 Civic EX four door master cylinder??
How many people have done this upgrade?? How do you like it??

your best bet is the integra RS master cyl, its 4040 because the RS has 4wdisc but no ABS, gotta remember that, non abs has 6 lines and abs has 4. also whichever cyl u change to the booster will have to follow. if you plan on doing rear disc in the future i strongly recommed going to a 4040 setup which will even the pressure between the front and the rear.

if your running stock calipers i would suggest staying with stock. if you go with a bigger mc you will lose braking force because the force is distributed over a greater area.
it will be more of a deperformance then anything else.
