well only way to know for sure is one of two ways
take open the valve cover and look
or install a new timing belt and try to start it
if it keep cranking over but noit starting more than likely you bent some valves
a compression test would also be a dead give away if you bent some valves

So.. you drove it when it was ripped or you just looked at it and it has ripped. Either or. Dont drive it. Get a new one ASAP. Yes. if a timming belt breaks, your pretty much looking at buying a new motor.
i don't think it'll mess up your valves bacause honda's are non interference motors. you need to change the timing belt irregardless.might as well do weater pump if you're in there.i may be wrong about the non interference ,it's just what i've read. my wife had a subaru that the timing "belts" broke on. the pistons smashed the valves and i could never get enough compression so i know it does happen. can anyone confirm that honda's are non interference?
i guess i'm wrong so yes change you timing belt. it's a well spent weekend.get some help. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=333151
