as alot of the civic/EG forum members know ive been workin on my 92 hatchback. its not a pro race car but its my "race car". ill try to post up some pics this weekend of the crap ive bought. so anyways, most know i got the MB 1 piece front end, doors, and hatch for my car. along the way i ripped everything out of the car with exception to suspension so it can still roll. its stripped of all sound deadenin, windows, moldings (CX doesnt come with much of anything). so besides the big pieces ive had lots of other goodies. i got a 1 gallon fuel cell, inline fuel pump (and inline filter), fuel rail ::yank yank::, FPR and all my stainless fittings and hoses. i also decided i was goin to concoct my own traction bars. i had the pieces cut for me and had A CHICK weld them for me. so far the new crossmember is sweet. i got my rod ends for it and just need to make tabs for the front brackets. lexan 1/4 windows, and front glass is sittin in my spare room. also to arrive is a ITR TB, ITR intake mani and a couple guages. hopefully ill post up some pics for everyone.


this was when i first got it installed.

1/4 inch lexan. i guess 1/8th inch is legal but i thought i read 1/4. o well, factory windshield moldings will go back on.
heres a frontal shot from today. it wasnt quite low enough even with the motor in it so i bought a little riceboy lip. it will b painted with the car.

heres the weld of my front crossmember for my traction bars im fabbing.

my riceboy guage bezel right in sight. oil pressure guage and A/F guage w/ seperate O2 sensor.

heres a shot of alot of my stuff. even though its my "racecar" its still gettin a full integ dash.

theres my fuel cell, fuel pump some fittings and my stainless hose.

these r 02 SI seats that will prolly end up in my coupe with some custom brackets.

same setup as last yr. only difference being is lightened chassis, seperate fuel system, ITR IM and TB.

 

wow. I've always loved seeing progress on your car. Where do you plan on racing it? SRP, SIR, Mission???

 

there is no SIR i still call it SIR though, pacific raceways sounds stupid. anyways, i plan on hittin up SRP, renegade, woodburn, maybe PIR, possibly SIR but mainly the local strip is goin to have to do. depends on the budget and if mom will let me borrow her truck. i dont live with her but i got no tow vehicle. mom rules.

 

come up to Mission- quickest track around! Test and tune with all the C-speed guys too!

i doubt ill b makin a trek up to the great north canuckville. SIR is most likely not goin to happen either. out of all the passes i made last yr, SRP netted me the best 60ft even though with the high elevation the ET wasnt super impressive. but i did first break into the 12s at SRP.

 

when did you race? Just the weekend brackets or at the import showoff-whatever it was called.

im lookin at my slip right now, august 3rd. i never saw reid run, he was at the track in the booth but never came up to me. the only 2 imports that were there that weekend was me and a NA RX7 runnin 13s. i ran a 1.809 60 but misshifted into 2nd gear ended up with a 13.5.
