I am being told by thers that it wont.
See on quaifes site the part number for the LS and b16a are the same. But the gsr and the type-r are the same too. So im guessing that they are diffrent. Wheres Earl? you know this stuff

It will not work with the LS (main?)shaft becuase it is geared for a 4.26 final drive and the Type R is a 4.40 final drive. This means the type R has a bigger final drive so the teeth won't match up. However if you swapped all that out the diff would physically fit into the tranny.

From what I've seen is just the ring gear is necessary, however I do not know about the main shaft.

Yep this is what i said. Do to the diffrent ratio the pinnion and ring will not match. I also contacted a few otehr companys and they said its a no way job and ill not go. Thanks guys. Kinda made sense to me to start with but had to check.
was kinda obvious when quaife uses the same part for the LS and the b16a. and a diffrent part for type-r and gsr. but i just had to check. thanks guys

It can be done, but you have to change the ring and pinion gear to a type r or gsr...

So all that is necessary for Type-R LSD install is the diff and a type-r or gsr ring/pinion gear?

Which is just part 8 on this page, correct? (I am not a tranny person so please forgive me...)
