I'll be at the February 21st event with them, maybe I'll make it out to the March 21st event as well if I like how Duratec runs the event.

 

I tried signing up for the FEB 21 event, but it got full real fast. We'll see how it goes on March 21.

 

I would go, but i cant make it on fridays. We'll see hopefully i can arrange something with work.

 

It would be nice to see fellow honda-tech members at the event.

Anyone got a helmet i can borrow or buy?

 

i already signed up to go, so i'll be there in my 01' prelude. i just need to get a hold of a helmet as well.

 

I'd like to go, but want to make sure the Feb 21 event is done well. For those that go to the Feb event, please post experiences asap.

 

Can you give xamples of what you are referring to? Do you mean not well organized & people doing pretty much what they want?

I'm signed up for this one too. Any OC'ers want to caravan out there like we did last time? That was alot of fun.

I was at the 2/21 event. Very organized, even thought there were no corner workers. Only track worker was at the start/finish line. He does all the flagging when necessary. 3 run groups; for beginner and intermediate there were specific passing zones, only with point-by---All the usual rules were in place. If not followed, you get black flagged.

I didn't see anyone doing anything really stupid (I think that was key), and I think as long as you're look ahead to your exit and next corner like you're supposed to, you can see potential problems and avoid them (spins and off track).

By the end, there were few ppl left, so they let the intermediate group run with the advanced since there were so few cars on the track, so lots of track time.
I would return but I'm going to run with Speedventures at Buttonwillow on the same day. Hopefully I will do Duratec again in April. Lots of track time, you get your money's worth.

 

We were there really early last time, how bout 5 at least?

Who was part of the HB caravan? I'm up in North OC, so how does a Buena Park caravan sound? There's a Denny's on the corner of Beach and Orangethorpe off the 91 and the 5. It's about 15 minutes south for me, and about 30 minutes north for you HB guys. We can get some breakfast and then take the 5 up to Willow.

What should I take to the track?
