vafc problem?
My friend just bought a 97 gsr. It has a vafc installed and his fuelcut is coming in at 8000 rpms. I've read that improper vafc wiring can cause the motor to run in "limp mode" and create an early fuel cut. The motor runs pretty well other than this, however. He doesnt have any CEL's either. I can't figure out what the problem is. This is really starting to drive me crazy. Does anyone have any insight for this problem?
I re-initialized the V-AFC and nothing has been adjusted other than intial setup. 4 sensors in, 4 out, 4 cylinders, throttle pointed up. Throttle reads from 0-10, rpms according to VAFC are about 8076 max before fuel cut. Or was it 7976. I don't remember that specifically. There's an apexi turbo timer installed in the car also. I don't think that has potential to control fuel cut. There is also an hks avc boost controller. It's not turned on right now though. Any other suggestions? Ecu is stock obd2 p72.

Not to scare you but I took my v-AFC out of my car and it now runs better then it did before. Its kinda weird. SOme people don't like them because they throw various celss and what not. I got rid of it to get a AVC-R and Hondata.
