need the best strongest shocks for 3.5 drop ef
i lowered my ef bout 3.5" w/ skunk 2 coilovers on stock struts, went over some rough **** the other day and busted my fronts, my backs are fine right now tho, but i need to get new struts, losing traction and control w/ no fronts, i need to know what kind i should get for that low a drop, im thinkin about kyb agx's, but i dont know.!!
nothing's gonna improve your ride if you're that low...just buy some used stock shocks and save yourself the money...unless you want to go with a full coilover setup...but even then you wouldn't be able to lower your car that much...
just a thought, you should raise your car up at least an inch or so to get a better ride and to gain some control over normal street turns....

i dont mind the rough ride as much as i dont want my shocks blowing out very soon, also ive heard good things about kyb agx's since they are adjustable, they do make the ride a little softer on slammed cars.
i have kyb's on my car, with integra h&r race springs. they ride nice, but i have about .5 inch gap between my wheel and fender in the front. trust me, if you're that low (3.5") the shocks aren't going to do you any good. i wouldn't recommend buying expensive shocks if you intend on keeping your ride height the way it is, you'll just go through shocks more frequently
well my ride might not acually be thattt low becuz im about flush w/ my fender, and you said your .5" from it, i can still see tread on my tire and stuff at the fender, but you still dont think expensive shocks like the agx's? if not what do you think about the kyb gr2's or whatever theyre called, i can get those for 140 on ebay.
thansk
the kyb's work great....the koni's i hear are better. you can get by with the kyb's but anything that has less than about a 1" gap will decrease the life of your shocks (depending on driving habits and areas). go ahead and get them if you want
Get your stock shocks, fill em up with that "oil smoke stopper" stuff you can get at your local parts store
That'll do it
just don't try to drive like a hero
