What is wrong with Honda MTF? Works great for me. When I changed my fluid last, the tranmission felt much less notchy.

The GM stuff is good. Honda MTF is good too but the GM stuff works better according to some people. I use Redline which some people on here will tell you that it'll ruin your tranny in 5 miles. ~50k here with no problems

i use redline as well. And the problem people talk about it is only because of human error.

No, it's cause you should not use Redline. Use Honda MTF. If you are having problems with Honda MTF then there is something wrong with your tranny. If you want to mask the problem fine, have fun, use something like GM that will hide it. but the end result will not be good.

Uhmm my tranny had no problems when I switched to Redline, nor does it now. I guess you should only use honda motor oil too right? Honda fluids aren't ALWAYS the best. Their MTF is very good, but that doesn't mean that people using something else are "hiding" a problem.

How tough is it to change transmission fluid? And how much would it cost as the dealer?

Very easy, not much harder than changing your oil you can definitely do it yourself. Not sure how much the dealership would charge but I bet if you had them do it they'd use motor oil and not MTF. to Honda dealerships.
