Ticking!
My engine is making a ticking noise at around 2500-3000 rpms. I opened the hood and it sounds like it is coming from the intake manifold area. This has been going on forever, and it isnt a new problem. Does anyone know what the sound could be?
try a valve adjustment first...
An easy way to isolate where the 'ticking' sounds are coming from is to get a piece of PVC pipe, put one end to your ear and point the other end at the individual injectors or valve cover, et cetera, kinda like a makeshift stethoscope. That'll pinpoint it...

Forgot to say that I I just did a valve adjustment this morning and the noise is still there.
I think it might the injectors, but is it normal for it to "tick" only at around 3k rpms?

Healthy fuel injectors make a tick-tick-ticking sound; usually loudest at idle. That's how you know they're working right.
yeah, i always noticed from B and H series motors...
